Our co-founder, Steve Leveen, was inspired by his grandfather, who taught penmanship and instilled in Steve a lifelong love for writing by hand. Driven by this passion, Steve embarked on a mission to make luxury pens more accessible and affordable for all who share his passion. In 1999, Levenger introduced its own line of precision-engineered fine-writing instruments. Steve named this collection 'True Writer,' reflecting a commitment to creating reliable and timeless pens, write after write, year after year. Now, more than 25 years later, the legacy of Steve’s beloved Grandfather George W. Knock endures as our True Writer luxury pens continue to thrive and inspire writers around the world.
